AVIA 196ABCD GROUND TRAINER LABORATORY-
INSTRUMENT FLIGHT 1 Unit
Course offers students the opportunity to develop and maintain instrument flight skills. Lab time will be divided between instrument ground trainer and audio visual aids.
Prereq: Completion of, or concurrent enrollment in AVIA 232AB or AVIA 240ABC

A study of aircraft nomenclature, flight control systems, weight and balance analysis, aircraft loading practices, and non-metallic construction materials and techniques. Regulations are covered.

AVIA 232AB INSTRUMENT RATING 3 Units
Course designed to prepare or requalify a student in instrument flight procedures and techniques. Review knowledge required to pass FAA Instrument Pilot and other knowledge exams.
Prereq: AVIA 136 and AVIA 140 or 120 hours of flight time.

AVIA 240ABC COMMERCIAL PILOT SEMINAR 3 Unit
A review of current FAA regulations and Government Publications for the active pilot. Meets partial fulfillment of the FAA requirements for ground instruction. Prepares for FAA Biennial Flight Review.
Prereq: AVIA 136, AVIA 140, or Pilot Certificate.
